1832 Carl Albert Edelfelt designed a station building for Vantaa so that leather freight trains from central Finland could stop elsewhere before the capital's busy railways.
The pack of ten leathers was called Tikkuri and from that the place got its name Tikkurila.
Hard working men from the railways, silk mills and other hard working men needed a place to get their hair done and enjoy tasty craft beers.
Only about 192 years later, such a place finally opened up pretty close to the railway. The place exudes the history of Tikkurila in the spirit of rural romance, it's the perfect place to relax with a glass of beer and borrow a book from the Barbers & Beer Company book market.
